So when I first started running I could barely run 1 mile without stopping. Then it slowly got to 2 then 3 then one day I ran 5 and it was a miracle! This was after a couple of months let me mind you…Then one rainy morning it was really brisk outside and I was on a role and I had already ran 5 miles then I thought you know what, I can keep going so I’m going to just see how far I can go! That was the day that I ended up running 8 miles with out stopping!!

Guys…I’m telling you, if I can do this YOU can do this. I use to run a block and then need to walk. I HATED running. I always felt sluggish when I did it, I got cramps and thought I could only run with music playing in my ears but that all changed…

I remember listening to the Miracle Morning By Hal Elrod and he was talking about how he started running and at first he hated it then after consistent days of running he eventually could just run and run with out stopping. I specifically remember listening to that and thinking “no…he really does love running he just didn’t realize it.” “Me on the other hand…I am not a runner. I will never grow to love it or be able to run that far.” Then I thought “there’s no way I’m going to run a marathon…that would just be ridiculous. But I’ll just go along with it for the show and to make Justin and Tara happy…” So that’s exactly what I did and I realized that after 2 months of running 4 or 5 days a week I started to run a little farther each day. There would be those moments that sucked and were so hard but I knew I had to push through them and run just a little bit farther than the day before and then before I knew it I could run 8 miles!

Now I am running a half Marathon tomorrow in provo Utah!! Yep I’m running a half on Halloween Morning! :) I’m a little nervous but SO excited at the same time! This is something I NEVER thought I would do and I’m doing it!! It’s such a good feeling!!! Wish me luck guys!
